The Counseling Center of Milwaukee, Inc. (TCCM) HIV Prevention services, Women-to-Women, was developed primarily by and for African American women and its goal is to reduce the spread of HIV in difficult-to-reach and at-risk populations. The Women-to- Women (W2W) HIV Prevention Program utilizes peer education and combines motivational, educational, and skills building elements to instruct and promote healthy sexual behavior. Recently, W2W implemented a program specifically aimed at reducing HIV sexual risk behavior among African American women. W2W recognizes the value of cultural and gender appropriate materials to acknowledge pride and enhance self worth in being an African-American woman. The program has now expanded its services to teenagers in order to provide better service and awareness to the larger community.
